If we had known this in advance, we probably would have gone to another area on the island. Some would even yell in the hotel hallways at 3am and bang on doors to wake everyone up.Īs quiet Canadians, we stuck out like sore thumbs in the crowd. There were lots of young people there to party, on the beach and on hotel grounds. Most restaurants and stores are run by Germans, you hear more people speaking German than Spanish. We had no idea that that area of Palma de Mallorca is mostly owned and inhabited by Germans. My only concern was that the hotel is right on the middle of “Germany”. Rooms are very nice and service is great too. We did one of the à la carte restaurants one night, and that was good too. Close to the airport, a short walk away from the beach, the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner is very good and offers a variety of choices.
